“So whose to worry if our hearts get torn. When that hurt gets thrown, don’t you know this life goes on.”-David Gray
I can’t believe my favorite holidays have come and gone already. I swear, after Halloween, time practically flies. A while back, I was faced with the dilemma of not knowing what to do for New Year’s Eve. I usually have it all planned out weeks before Christmas, but this year we literally decided at the last minute…as in the day before New Year’s Eve. Joey and I kept going back and forth between options, but finally settled on our first idea: Frankford Hall. I’m kind of upset that I didn’t get any pictures while we were there, but we were having too much fun to stop and get pictures. Frankford Hall is one of my favorite places to go in the city. I love it so much that I’ve decided that’s where I want to get married one day. Even though it’s in a random, slightly sketchy part of the city, I don’t mind making the trek up there for their beers and gigantic soft pretzels. We got there kind of early because they were having bands play every couple of hours . It wasn’t nearly as crowded as I thought it would be for being New Year’s Eve. We got there and found two tables outside. They have big fire pits set up, so it didn’t even feel like it was almost freezing out. We played some games, ate some food, and drank in the new year. The next thing I know, I’m waking up to a line of Mummer’s coming into my bedroom to use my bathroom. One of the perks of living right on Broad Street is the ability to watch parades from my couch. No need for this girl to stand outside in the cold to watch drunk dancers march down the street 🙂
The past few months have been some of the happiest of the whole year. I hope this is an indication of what’s the come in 2013!
