Woah. What a whirlwind of a weekend. Birthday celebrations started early on Friday when Mikey and I decided to get lunch at Sabrina’s. Sabrina’s may be one of my favorite places in the entire city to get brunch. I can’t even begin to describe the deliciousness that is their stuffed french toast. Holy moly. SO good. After lunch, we decided that we’d just sit on the porch and enjoy the warm weather. I don’t know why, but there’s nothing I enjoy doing with Mike more than sitting on the porch, people watching and shooting the shit. It wasn’t long before we realized it was time to get ready for dinner. We grabbed a bottle of wine and headed down to Izumi for sushi. They put us next to the fountain in Passyunk Square. Oh so romantic. The rest of the evening was spent down at Morgan’s Pier with all of our friends. Way too much fun was had. Way too much.
Saturday morning rolled around and I officially turned 24. Eccckkk. My family came down early and then we all went over the bridge to Cherry Hill. This was the first time that our families were meeting, but everyone had a blast. The graduation party was so fun that we all decided to come back to Philly and continue to celebrate. Clearly that was the theme of this weekend. On Sunday morning, we went to King’s Oak for Father’s Day brunch. Nothing like a good Bloody Mary to wrap up the weekend. I’ll be in detox for the next two weeks because of all the food and alcohol I managed to consume. No more celebrating until West Palm Beach.
24 was definitely the best birthday I’ve had yet. I was spoiled rotten by Mike and all of my friends and family. I’m stoked to see what the year has in store for me, even though I’m not sure that it can top the past couple months 🙂
