Can I just say that I’m still completely shocked that it’s August? Where did my summer go? While I’m looking, where did my weekend go? This was one of the best weekends I’ve had at home in a very long time. From birthday celebrations to bar dance-offs, it was packed with good stuff. If you couldn’t tell from my tweet, I was one happy girl.
I kicked off the week with a three-mile run this morning, followed by a little bit of yoga. It was sunny and 60 and I loved every minute of it. There are no words for how excited I am that fall is coming. Seriously. I get a little bit happier every day because it’s one day closer to the most perfect of all the seasons. With race season coming up, I’ve been lifting heavier than usual. Here’s what I have lined up for my afternoon weight session.
- Squats: 15 reps, 3 sets
- Leg Extensions: 12 reps, 3 sets
- Calf Raises: 25 reps, 3 sets
- Lunges: 12 reps each leg, 3 sets
- Plie Squats: 20 reps, 3 sets
- Hip Flexors: 15 reps, 3 sets
Monday isn’t so rough when it’s leg day. Or when I look down at my screen and see that picture. It totally makes my heart melt. Happy Monday 🙂
