“I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is now you’re in the world.”-Ellie Goulding
Ummm excuse me. How is it Monday already? This weekend went way too fast. Although it was a fast one, it was also a really fun one. Friday night was spent out in the city and Saturday was filled with softball, sunshine, and Songza. If I could repeat this past weekend every weekend my life would be just perfect.
Well, it just isn’t fall without a race. I’ve been mulling over the fact that I didn’t register for any races. The guilt set in a little and I gave into my subconscious’ peer pressure. But let me tell you…I am beyond thrilled. I was on cloud 9 after I got that confirmation email. I don’t know which gives me a better high- registering or crossing the finish line. Well actually I do, and I really hope that the Philly Half brings me as much bliss as Broad Street did in May. My goal is to race Philly at the same pace that I raced Broad Street. And that means one thing: speed work! So for the next 11 weeks, the shuffle is going to be a whole lot of running. I hope you’re all ready because here…we…go!
