“‘Cause I don’t want to wait until tomorrow to tell you how I’d feel the rest of my life.”-Mat Kearney
Good morning, Friday. I’ve been waiting all week to see you. I thought you would never get here. First off, I want to start by wishing my mama a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She is the most amazing human being I have ever known. She’s the reason I can run so fearlessly into everything. There aren’t enough words to describe how lucky I am to have such a beautiful person in my life. Blessed is certainly an understatement.
Ok so anyways…I’m 100% over this entire week. Thankfully, I’m headed back home tonight for some birthday celebrations and to pack up the rest of my stuff at my old house. I can’t believe this is the last time I’ll sit in my kitchen, drinking wine, dancing with Margo, cooking Saturday night dinner. I know I’m going to be a complete wreck when leaving on Sunday. But it’s so comforting to know all our traditions and memories will be carried into this new house. That’s some good karma.
The moving stress has officially set in and I’m turning into a bigger ball of nerves (as if that was even possible). I knew moving was going to be tough, but I underestimated its effect on my training. I’m gonna try my best to not let it put a damper on my running. Here’s what my training looked like this week:
- Monday:Strength training in the AM & 3 miles in the PM
- Tuesday: 4.5 mile run
- Wednesday: 4 mile run
- Thursday: 8x400s & weights
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: Rest
- Sunday: 10 miler
This week kicked my butt from the start, so I’m hoping a weekend at home will be a source of relaxation. Knowing me, I’ll be more stressed about my week ahead that I won’t even be able to relax. Somebody give me a chill pill.
