“These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you.”-Jay Z & Alicia Keys
Happy New Year from the Big Apple, loves! I spent my New Year’s Eve in New York City, with some of my favorite people, lots of champagne, and amazing music. I have yet to go to bed. But, sleep deprivation and charlie-horses aside, it was one of the greatest nights of my life, and a New Year’s Eve that I will never, ever forget. I’m ready to get back to Philly and open up a fresh new calendar. It’s time to start planning races, vacations, and weekend adventures. First trip of 2014? San Francisco at the end of January. SO excited!
I’ve never been one for New Year’s resolutions because I honestly think they’re a load of crap. If you aren’t setting goals for yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, it’s time to pull your ish together. Start each day off with one thing you’d like to accomplish. At the end of the day, write down the thing you accomplished, and by the end of the week you can look back and see all you’ve done. Seeing those weekly lists keep you motivated for your long-term goals.
Hello 2014! I’m ready for you 🙂
