“Tell me if I should run or learn to shoot a gun.”-New Politics
Well, I’ve crawled my way out of my igloo and am back functioning as a normal, working human being again. It’s pouring rain and snow and the entire city is a big wet mess. Even though I was snowed in on Monday, I made it to spin class with my favorite man, Mike. Since I didn’t do much lifting while I was in California, I also started off the week with this leg workout. I’m really loving the routine that Tyler put together for me and am super excited to start increasing my weight soon.
Last night, I met up with a friend for our first group run of 2014. I run with a group called YIP-Young Involved Philadelphia. We meet once a month, and run to different spots in the city. It’s a great way to get a work out in, meet new people, and see what the city of Philly has to offer. Last night we ran to the new Fringe Arts building in Old City, right under the Ben Franklin Bridge. Icy road conditions aside, the run wasn’t too bad. The new building is absolutely gorgeous. I’m pumped to see where we’ll run to next. If you live in the area, stay tuned for details on our next run!
Tonight, I’ll be working out my upper body, along with spin class with Mike. It feels so good to be back spinning a few times a week. I love that I’ve found someone who really keeps me motivated and keeps kicking my ass. Happy hump day!!
