“You keep falling victim cause you’re insecure and when I tell you that you’re beautiful you can’t be sure.”-J. Cole
Good morning Monday! I jumped in puddles of all kinds on my walk to the train this morning, since we only got like three inches of rain this weekend. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t snow so I was thrilled, but it definitely wasn’t fun going out on Saturday night. BUT this week is going to be absolutely gorgeous. Sunny and 60s alllll week. Hello spring time (bring on the allergies)! I started reading The Great Gatsby again, for the first time since seeing the movie. I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but it’s my favorite book. I read it multiple times every year. I fell in love with it when I was 16 and have yet to fall out of love. I was so worried when the movie came out that it would ruin the beautiful story I had in my head, but it only made it that much more amazing. I think I’ll watch the movie tonight. It’s been a few weeks 🙂
Since this weekend was the first I’ve spent in Philly in a while, I had to do it big. After a 2-hour, back-to-back spin class session, and some pampering at Lacquer Lounge, the rest of my Saturday was spent relaxing and getting ready for everyone to come over for dinner. After a few drinks, we headed into Center City. We wanted to go to Howl At The Moon, but the line was so long and it was raining so we ended up at Misconduct Tavern. It was packed and I ended up running into a million people, but it was such a blast. After Misconduct, we headed to Irish Pub to close out the night.
Sunday consisted of brunch at Kite and Key, and a little shopping to find a dress for the shoot tomorrow. I’m being flooded with a million emotions a minute over everything. Luckily, I’ll be able to start the day off with a run, so my head and heart will be in good spirits. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Tell me what you did!
