“Regretting him was like wishing you never found out that love could be that strong.”-Taylor Swift

photo 2(1)Happy Friday babes! It’s been a long week, but I’m pumped that I get to work from home today and spend time with my family and closest friends this weekend. It’s going to be a much needed weekend of relaxation. I have a brunch date tomorrow after spin, then birthday celebrations tomorrow night. The weather is suppose to be gorgeous, so I plan to spend as much time outside as possible. Maybe a post-brunch walk around the city will be in order. I’m baking cupcakes to bring for Easter brunch on Sunday and y’all know how much I love my cupcakes. I plan on making three different kinds: Almond Joy, Carrot Cake, and Lemon Blueberry. Check out my Instagram this weekend for pictures!

I had some pretty killer workouts this week. For as tired as I was during the day, I managed to pull myself together and get a few good runs, a spin class, and lots of weight lifting in. Here’s what my training looked like:

  • Monday: Leg day (squats, lunges, calf raises, quad extensions)+spin class
  • Tuesday: Upper body (hammer curls, dumbbell curls, tricep kickbacks, tricep extensions)+4.5 mile run
  • Wednesday: Leg day (back squats, quad extensions, squat jumps, reverse lunges) +4.5 mile run
  • Thursday: Upper body (lat pull downs, seated row, dumbbell shoulder press, lat raises)+3 mile run
  • Friday: 45 minute tempo run (10 minute warm up, 30 minutes at 5k race pace, 5 minute recovery pace)
  • Saturday: Back to back spin class (2 hours total)
  • Sunday: 3 mile run+yoga

I hope everyone who celebrates Easter has a wonderful holiday weekend. And for those who don’t: get out and celebrate because spring is officially here! XOXO 🙂
