“You can feel it in your mind, you can do it all the time. Plug it in and change the world.”-MGMT
So the other day, I was sitting on the train, catching up on two issues of Runner’s World. Article after article, I felt myself tearing up. For no reason. From Lauren Fleshman talking about the awesomeness of running 5ks (which honestly, I may never ever understand), to the article about coming back from a running hiatus, to the stories from this year’s Boston Marathon. I could not stop crying. The only thing that could help me pull myself together was looking at the shoe section. Side note: I’m in dire need of new shoes…but more on that to come. I don’t know what got me so emotional, but let me tell you something: I don’t think I’ve ever loved something like running. Sure, there are days when it’s hard to get out there, but the second my feet hit that pavement, I’m happy. It’s been my longest, healthiest relationship and has never let me down. So to celebrate this love, I decided to share with you a few of my favorite running things. Number one: my favorite city to run (see picture to your left). Number two: my favorite articles that make me laugh, cry, and feel super proud to call myself a runner:
- 10 Reasons to Date a Long Distance Runner
- 75 Thoughts Every Runner Has While Out For a Run
- Why We’re Still Running a Year After Boston

And last but definitely not least, number three: running jams. I was told the other day that I’m not posting enough running playlists. Since it is summer and that means all new jams, I figured I’d put together some of my newest and most favorite running songs.
