“It ain’t where, it’s how you live. We weren’t raised to take. We were raised to give the shirt off our back to anyone in need.”-Brantley Gilbert
Happy Labor Day/September loves! I’m currently sitting on the porch, enjoying my coffee with a side of Lake Placid breeze. I’m thoroughly enjoying my getaway in the mountains. I’m proud to say that aside from Instagramming a few pics that I just couldn’t pass up, I’ve been on no social media. No snapchat. No Twitter. No Facebook. And it feels amazing. There’s some kind of peace I get from being here, disconnected from everything, that just feels good in the bottom of my heart. Maybe cause I’m closest to my Pocohantas 🙂 The past few days have been filled with fun, food, and lots of craft beer from the local breweries. I enjoyed a morning hike on Saturday with my dad and my legs are paying for it today. When I woke up yesterday, it was too nice out to not run, so I got in an easy 3-miler and came back and did some yoga on the back porch. The cooler temperatures up here are getting me so excited for fall in Philly.
I hope you’re all enjoying the last weekend of summer. This summer has been absolutely amazing and it makes me giggle like a little girl when I think back to some of the fun I had. From 25th birthday celebrations, to the country concerts, to the crazy weekends down the shore, it was well worth the toll it took on my bank account/body. So long sweet summer, I’ll see ya next year!
