“Funny the things you thought you’d never miss in a world gone crazy as this.”-Tim McGraw
Holy Christmas hangover. Too many cookies, too much egg nog. But after a 6 mile run this morning, I’m feeling pretty glorious. My family and I are packed up and heading back to Chambersburg for the weekend to celebrate Christmas with the rest of my family. I can’t really complain; two Christmases are totally better than one. And although it was tempting, I kept my training going over the holiday. As fun as it has been though, after two days at home, I’m ready to get back into that routine again. The one filled with an eating schedule and daily gym trip. I have created a monster out of myself.
Anyway, here’s what my training log looked like this week:
- Monday: Crosstraining+lower body circuits
- Tuesday: 35-minute tempo run (4.2 miles)+upper body circuits
- Wednesday: 3-mile run+ab circuits
- Thursday: 4xhill repeats (3.1 miles)
- Friday: 6-mile run
- Saturday: 3-mile run
- Sunday: 4-mile run
I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and is continuing the celebrations into the weekend!
