Carry You Home

“I’ve been through the days, when bright love turns into hate. You bend and you bend till you break.”-Zara Larsson

IMG_8742Well hello there. This week has been quite the roller coaster. I didn’t mention this earlier, but my baby Zoe passed away on Sunday night. Superbowl celebrations were cut pretty short, as we rushed my little love to the puppy ER. By the time we got there, she was hanging on by a thread. But it was a peaceful and painless moment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way for her to rest. We’ve been trying to get adjusted to our day-to-day routines without her, but it hasn’t been easy. She was my bed partner, my secret keeper, and my snack sharer. Even though my heart has been hurting, my legs have felt strong. Here’s what my log looks like from this week:

  • Monday: 4.5 mile run+upper body weights
  • Tuesday: 8x400s+lower body weights
  • Wednesday: 3-mile run+upper body weights
  • Thursday: 4-miles (at marathon pace)+abs
  • Friday: Rest
  • Saturday: 9-mile run
  • Sunday: Spin Class

My sister and aunt are both coming in for the week, so the house will be full of love, even without my Zoe girl. Happy weekend šŸ™‚
