Boy, Friday am I happy to see you (even though you brought along with you 8 inches of snow and 8 degree weather). This weekend couldn’t get here fast enough. After a long week, I’m ready for yet another weekend of birthday celebrations. The house will be full of love, laughs and lots of wine and cheese. This was my last week of training and tapering for DC starts Monday. I’m feeling strong, not as fast as I’d like, but still excited because it’s going to be a great race weekend. Here’s what my log looked like from this week:IMG_8872

  • Monday: 3-mile (at race pace) run+upper body strength
  • Tuesday: 10x400s (3.6 miles total)+lower body weights
  • Wednesday: 5-mile run+abs
  • Thursday: Yoga+upper body strength
  • Friday: Rest
  • Saturday: 12-mile run
  • Sunday: 3-mile recovery run
