IMG_0147 2Happy Friday babes! This week has been a hot and humid hell. Between the heat sucking the life out of me and just not feeling like I couldn’t get enough sleep, my butt has been dragging. My runs have been slow and not fun and I’m feeling crappy because of it. I’ve also been slacking a little bit with lifting (not lifting as heavy, skipping sets). I don’t know where my motivation has gone to this week, but I’m hoping I find it over the weekend. I will say though, surprise flower deliveries at work definitely make Thursdays a little bit better đŸ™‚

I realized when looking at my training log that I’m half way through my plan…aka I’M FREAKING OUT. That means November is pretty much around the corner and it’s time to get my butt in gear. For the rest of the program, I’ll be switching out my Monday 3-milers with cross training (probably spin class) and starting to up my weekly mileage. Maybe this lack of motivation came at the perfect time because things are about to change pretty quickly.

IMG_0132Here’s what my log looks like from this week:

  • Monday: 3-mile run
  • Tuesday: 8x400s (3.04 total miles)
  • Wednesday:3-mile run+yoga
  • Thursday: Rest
  • Friday: 4-mile run
  • Saturday: 45-minute tempo run
  • Sunday: 10k run at race pace

This weekend I get to spend my time in New Jersey, with one of my favorite little humans, playing Ninja Turtles and taking turns on the Slip-n-Slide. Hope everyone has something equally as fun planned!
