“You make what doesn’t matter fade to grey. Life is good and that’s the way it should be.”-Echosmith
Oh Monday. I am not too excited to see you, if we’re being honest. This weekend was so perfect for so many reasons and I hate that it had to come to an end. On Friday, I picked up Gabe and we went straight to DiBruno’s. We spent too much time and far too much money on getting the essentials for happy hour. Three cheeses, two meats, and some candied cashews later, we were set. There are very few things better than a summer Friday. I don’t know how but we managed to demolish half of what we bought and still had room for dinner. To keep the whole red wine and Italian cheese thing going, we walked down the block to eat at Ralph’s. My eyes were way too big for my stomach, so I had plenty of leftover sausage and peppers.
On Saturday, I was up pretty early to run. After I got back, I cooked everyone breakfast. Left over blue cheese makes for extra delicious omelets. We ended up watching a movie and drinking mimosas for the rest of the morning. Our original plan was to head to Frankford Hall, but because the weather wasn’t all that great, we decided to stay close. We headed to Brauhaus on South Street to get a drink and watch soccer. Gabe hadn’t eaten a cheesesteak in forever, so I took him to Jim’s for one wit whiz and the works. Since he was taking the first morning train back to New York, made it it an early night with more movies on the couch.
Yesterday was spent inside avoiding the heat, cleaning and doing laundry. This week is going to be super busy but with all fun things. Two concerts and a birthday dinner. Happy Monday!
