” What’s the point of language if you don’t say what you feel.”-Cherub
Happy Monday loves, from the slightly sunny and super steamy Philadelphia. After a beautiful weekend with the perfect summer weather, we’re back to living in a sauna. I can’t wait to spend this weekend by the pool, cold beverages in hand. On Friday after work, my sister and I headed to Camden to see Florida Georgina Line. The weather was sunny and warm and the Coronas were flowing. The concert was amazing, but we ended up getting stuck in Camden until 2am with a flat tire. By the time we got back to Philly, it was almost 3. Since I was planning on getting up early and running, I was a little worried that I wouldn’t get enough sleep. I ate a bagel as soon as we got back, so I could sleep in a little longer and managed to be up by 7 to get my run in. Even though I was a little slower than I wanted to be, I crushed it and was ready to get to New York City.
My train left Philly at 1:30 and before I knew it, I was meeting GJ at the Paddy’s after he got off work. We had a few beers before heading back to get ready for the night. We left Gramercy and headed to the Financial District to meet up with his family for a little night marketing. There was a food truck festival at the South Street Seaport, so we got to walk around drinking beers, eating lobster rolls and ramen burgers, and enjoying some live music. Once the festival was over, we stopped at Les Halles for a drink and truffle fries. As always, New York City didn’t disappoint and I can hardly wait to go back. Can I just move there already?
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Raise that glass of iced coffee and cheers to a new week!
