“I know that you hate it and I hate it just as much as you. But if you can brave it, I can brave it all for you.”-Kygo
Happy Friday loves! How cute is my little Finn? I can hardly believe how big he’s getting. He’s no longer my baby kitten. WAH 😦 Anyways…I’m well into spring racing. After finishing the New York City Half Marathon eight minutes faster than I finished Brooklyn in October, I’m feeling good about my next half marathon on Sunday. This will be my first Philly Love Run, and a few of my girl friends will be joining me. What more could a runner ask for? Their favorite city, their friends, and 13.1 glorious spring miles!
I didn’t realize how little time I actually had between races, so tapering with this race has been a little off. I’m hoping my legs are fresh and I can PR with this course. If not, there’s always a PR in sight for Broad Street. Here’s what my training log looks like from this week:
- Monday: 3-mile run (26:00)
- Tuesday: 5-mile run (43:03)
- Wednesday: AM circuit training+PM 4-mile run (32.41)
- Thursday: 45-minute tempo run (5.36 miles)
- Friday: Flywheel60
- Saturday: Rest
- Sunday: Philly Love Run (13.1!)
Cheers to the weekend and my second to last race of the spring season!
