“I come alive when I’m close to the madness. No easy love could ever make me feel the same.”-OneRepublic
What a week it’s been my loves. It’s times like these that remind me of how incredibly blessed I am to have the family I do. Between moving my sister back home, my cousin’s wedding, and saying goodbye to one of my uncles (all within 72 hours), I’m emotionally spent. Not only have emotions been running wild, but I’ve been fighting a mean cold that must have been packed with my sister’s dishes. I’ve been neglecting to do any sort of training, in order to save all of my energy to function has a human. GJ surprised me with a new Garmin 235 and I hate that my first week of running with it has been awful.
- Monday: 40-minute tempo (slow AF at 4.52 miles/8:51 pace)
- Tuesday: Sleep
- Wednesday: 2.5-mile run+2.5 mile walk (because running the rest of the way home wasn’t happening)
- Thursday: 20-miles indoor cycling
- Friday: 3-mile run
- Saturday: 5-mile run
- Sunday: 3-mile run
I’ve got a jam packed weekend ahead of me with a First Communion, Graduation Gala, and two celebratory brunches. To kick it all off tonight…Captain America: Civil War. Cheers!
