Good morning, Friday! Even though this week was a day shorter, it felt ten times longer. MDW was super relaxing, but I got a little too much sun when we were down the shore and spent most of Monday recouping. Between the sunburn and adjusting to running in heat and humidity, my body hates me. I’ve been trying my hardest to drink more water during the day, especially if I have a longer run planned at night. I’ve also been getting up and lifting early in the mornings, so when it comes time to switch to more morning runs I’m not dead. Marathon training officially kicks off in July, but I could have sworn I was just saying “never again” yesterday. Oye.
Here’s what my training log looks like from this week:
- Monday: Rest
- Tuesday: 3-mile run (25:13)+Nike Training Club
- Wednesday: 30-minute tempo (3.78 miles)
- Thursday: 3-mile run (25:15)+Nike Training Club
- Friday: 4-mile run
- Saturday: 4x800s
- Sunday: 6-mile run
Anywho…I’m on my way to New York for the weekend. Tonight, GJ and I are headed to Brooklyn to see The Knocks (GIGGITY!). I can’t wait to dance off the busy week. Hope everyone has some plans for the weekend! Talk to ya Monday!
